GeoSonics, Inc., a nationally recognized Seismic consulting company is seeking a full-time, Field Technician to join our team at our Cheshire, Connecticut location.

As a Field Technician with GeoSonics, Inc. you will travel to construction sites and aggregate operations throughout New England and New York.to conduct pre/post blast inspections, perform on-site vibration monitoring, manage installation of service equipment.  Be a support to the Area Manager as well as provide service and support go customers.

Our ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions and work independently. Has experience using video and digital cameras and is proficient in computer and technical skills. Experience or degree in Geology, Earth Science, Engineering or related field, preferred but not required. Driver’s license and a reliable mode of transportation is required as you will travel in your personal vehicle to job sites.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Conduct detailed pre and post-blast inspections of homes, commercial buildings/other structures
  • Perform on-site and remote seismograph vibration monitoring at mining and construction operations
  • Manage on-site installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Report preparation
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
  • Build positive relationships with current and potential customers
