Vibra-Tech Engineers, Inc., a seismic consulting company, is seeking a full-time Calibration/Repair Technician to join our team at our Louisville, Kentucky location.

As a Calibration/Repair Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and calibrating seismographs.

Our ideal candidate has solid experience in soldering, AC and DC circuitry, has the ability to troubleshoot integrated circuits and digital electronics and possesses exceptional computer and communication skills. A technical degree is highly preferred.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Repair and calibrate both discreet and surface mount components and environmental monitors
  • Soldering PCB small components
  • Maintain or repair measurement devices or equipment used for calibration testing
  • Inspect condition or function of equipment
  • Analyze AC & DC circuitry
  • Troubleshoot integrated circuits
  • Testing of assembled equipment and/or cables

Your Background/Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of electronic work experience
  • Associate’s degree or certification in Electronics and/or military experience in Electronics Engineering is preferred but not required
  • Certified IPC Specialist preferred but not required
  • Excellent electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Highly proficient in through-hole and surface mount soldering
  • Experience with mechanical and cable assembly
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuits
